About Me
Ramesh Patel, M.D., pediatric hematologist/oncologist, joined MemorialCare Miller Children's & Women’s Hospital in 1989. Dr. Patel is a member of the Pediatric & Adolescent Hematology Oncology Associates and an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in the department of pediatrics.
Dr. Patel is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology. He cares for children diagnosed with cancer and serious blood disorders at the Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Institute and leads the Neuro-Oncology and Hematology-Oncology CCS Clinics. Dr. Patel also treats children faced with high blood lead levels. He is a consultant for both City of Long Beach and City of Los Angeles Health Departments.
At Long Beach Medical Center he is an active member of eight committees. He is chairperson of two committee boards and one vice-chairperson of a committee.
Dr. Patel is responsible for giving lectures in pediatric hematology/oncology to the pediatric residents and medical students of UCI that rotate through Miller Children's & Women’s.
