About Me
Amy Williams, M.D., is a board certified orthopedic surgeon at the Orthopedic Center at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital specializing in musculoskeletal oncology. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she was part of the Medical Scholars Program. She matched into the University of Southern California’s Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program, and completed her training there in 2014.
In her pursuit of a career as a Pediatric Musculoskeletal Oncologist, she completed fellowships in both Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Oncology from 2014 through 2016 at Seattle Children’s Hospital and University of Washington Medical Center, respectively. Her dual fellowship training places her amongst a select group of orthopaedic surgeons across the country who have specialized in both Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Oncology.
While training in Washington, Dr. Williams was significantly involved in resident education and served as a course instructor for the Margo Johnson Orthopaedic Pathology Review. Her research has been presented at POSNA, MSTS, and the ACS NSQIP Conference, and published in journals such as the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Orthopedics and Current Orthopaedic Practice.
Dr. Williams’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and multi-disciplinary treatment of pediatric bone and soft tissue sarcomas, as well as benign pediatric bone tumors. She has an additional interest in pediatric trauma.
