Event is Thursday, Feb. 5 & Friday, Feb. 6, 2026

This course will feature an integrative, medical, music therapy duo that will lead experiential, hands-on training to meet Tier II competency for international, evidence-based, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) training, inclusive of three prongs:

  • Environmental music therapy
  • Trauma training in music psychotherapy with caregivers
  • Evidence-based live music therapy interventions for premature infants

Attendees may have the opportunity to visit Miller Children's & Women's Level IV NICU and will receive a certificate indicating their completion of Tier I and II of the First Sounds: RBL Training. 

There are no prerequisites to attend this course. Professionals, including MT BCs, MDs, and RNs, may register. Health professionals, aside from music therapists, are invited to register. Beginning music therapy students may be considered if space permits.
