About Me
Dr. Kiran Clair is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible gynecologic oncologist who specializes in the management of advanced gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, cervical and uterine cancers. She serves as Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at UCI School of Medicine and Medical Director, Gynecologic Oncology at the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute.
Her philosophy of care involves providing each patient with specialized information to help them determine the best treatment options. She believes in taking a patient-centered, multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of recurrent or advanced gynecologic cancers, including systemic therapies combined with cytoreductive surgery.
Dr. Clair earned her medical degree from University of California, Irvine (UCI) Medical School where she completed a residency in obstetrics & gynecology, serving as chief resident. She then completed a master’s in biomedical & translational science at UCI and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at UCI Medical Center. Dr. Clair is board-eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology in gynecologic oncology and obstetrics & gynecology.
Her research is focused on reducing cancer disparities among diverse populations by improving access to evidence-based healthcare. She is the author or co-author of several peer-reviewed research papers that have appeared in prominent medical journals. Dr. Clair is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), and the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
