About Me
Dr. Keith Hurvitz is a board-certified plastic and otolaryngology surgeon at Hurvitz Plastic Surgery, a specialized private practice in Long Beach and Torrance, CA. He also serves as the Chair of the Plastic Surgery Section at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.
Dr. Hurvitz graduated from Keck School of Medicine USC with honors from Alpha Omega Alpha, received the Dean’s Scholar award and followed with a residency in otolaryngology – head & neck surgery at Keck School of Medicine, USC. He pursued a second residency in general plastic surgery at UCI School of Medicine where he broadened his skills in surgery to encompass full body plastic surgery. Dr. Hurvitz is dual board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology.
His clinical interest includes both cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the body for both adults and children. This includes breast reconstruction, breast surgery, rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, rhytidectomy and blepharophasty in addition to full body plastic surgery (abdominoplasty, liposuction and body lifting. Specific to children, he performs complicated reconstructions on infants born with facial deformities in addition to nasal surgery.
Dr. Hurvitz serves as the Chair of the Plastic Surgery Section at Long Beach Medical Center; sub-specialty leader of plastic surgery for Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital; and Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at UCI School of Medicine.
He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) Medical Honor Society; and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
He was awarded LA’s Top Doctors for Plastic Surgery in 2020; the Long Beach Press-Telegram Reader’s Choice Award for Favorite Cosmetic Surgeon in 2014 and 2015.
