About Me
Elaine K. Chu, D.O., is a neonatologist at the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach.
After earning her degree from the Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Chu completed her residency in pediatrics at UCSF Fresno. She completed her neonatology fellowship at Harbor UCLA Medical Center and its affiliated center at Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC). Her research work includes developmental outcomes in children with prenatal methamphetamine exposure and optimal feeding intervals in very preterm infants. Her research on prenatal methamphetamine exposure was presented at the Pediatric Academic Society's annual meeting.
In her free time, Dr. Chu enjoys rock-climbing, hiking and crafting.
