About Me

Eduardo Torres grew up in Long Beach and was raised in a family of Mexican immigrants.

“I entered primary care to help advance and support the health of underserved communities like the one I grew up in. I am a native Spanish speaker and passionate about the health of immigrant communities.”

Dr. Torres was educated and trained locally, completing medical school at the University of Southern California and a family medicine residency at Long Beach Medical Center, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident. He opted to remain local and now serves as the residency program's Director of Community Health.

“I enjoy helping my patients understand their health better and finding treatment plans best suited for the person in front of me.”

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Torres enjoys reading and listening to horror and fantasy books and audiobooks, collecting comic books, staying up to date with the latest TV show or movie, running and weight-lifting.
