About Me
Andrew Wittenberg, M.D., MPH, FACEP, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and medical director of the Emergency Department at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.
He received his medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and a master’s degree in public health (M.P.H.) at Drexel University in Philadelphia PA. He then completed a residency in emergency medicine at LAC + USC Medical Center.
Dr. Wittenberg is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (AEBM), a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and member of the California Chapter of ACEP (Cal-ACEP). He is a national oral board examiner with AEBM, working on the content, cases and administers the board exams to physicians applying for board certification. He has been published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Emergency Medicine and has presented at multiple professional meetings. Dr. Wittenberg also serves on several best practice committees within Long Beach Medical Center, the MemorialCare Health System, and is on the Medical Executive Committee (MED) at Long Beach Memorial.
Dr. Wittenberg is part of the Columbia Emergency Medical Group, Inc. which staffs the ED at MemorialCare's Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
